Teacher Seminars

 

The seminar is designed for middle and secondary school teachers who implement Holocaust studies in their classrooms.

This seminar aims to involve teachers interested in raising awareness and encouraging critical discussion about prejudice, discrimination, racism, fundamental Human Rights and Human Rights violations in Canadian society. It seeks to create inclusive communities by promoting understanding through debate and dialogue.

Teacher Seminar Goals

 

Advance education in Canadian middle and secondary schools about the Holocaust.

 

Deepen teachers' knowledge and strengthen their ability to implement Holocaust studies in classrooms.

 

Teach each new generation about the Holocaust, so that they will know, understand, and never forget.

 

Further educational activities which use the lessons of the past as warnings for the present and the future.

 

Teach about tolerance, human courage, respect for diversity, and the responsibility of each individual for the protection of Human Rights.
